Floyd S. (Steve) Hulsey - Bill Potthast Photography

After graduating high school, enlisted in the U.S. Navy to see the world. Serving successively aboard two destroyers, I was well acquainted with that portion of the Earth comprised of water. My travels included the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Black Seas, and traversing the U.S. Intracoastal Waterway.

Tired of battling seasickness, I earned my Journalism degree at the University of Florida and later my Master's of Public Administration from the University of South Florida. I published short stories and non-fiction articles on a variety of subjects while working in Public Relations for private sector employers before building a Human Resources career with a large law enforcement agency.

My non-fiction book, SUCCESSFUL RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION OF POLICE OFFICERS, was published by the Institute of Police Technology and Management. My suspense novel, THIS BULLET'S FOR YOU, soon will be published as an e-book.

I still write on various topics, those that interest me and that I think will inform, educate, and entertain others.

My wife of 46 years, Sandra, and I reside in Florida with three bulldogs.
